Health & Safety Classes

Below are descriptions and overviews of the courses we currently offer.

Adult CPR/AED / Fee: $40

Learn to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims ages 8 to adult. Teaches the basics of Automated External Defibrillation, including the rationale for early defibrillation and the role of CPR in cardiac arrest situations. Includes information about precautions to take when using an AED, what defibrillation is, how it works and troubleshooting for special situations. Includes Adult CPR and basic precautions for preventing disease transmission. (4.5 HRS)

Babysitter Training / Fee: $50

The American Red Cross popular Babysitter’s Training can be a helpful class for young adults looking for ways to earn extra money this summer. This class is great for developing leadership skills and students gain the confidence to make smart decisions while babysitting. Designed for youth from ages 11 to 15, the Red Cross Babysitter’s Training provides young adults who plan to babysit the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to infants and children under their watch. The course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video, role-plays and lively discussions

First Aid / Fee: $35

Learn basic disease transmission precautions and emergency care for bleeding, splinting and other first aid emergencies. Meets OSHA requirements for First Aid. (3.5 HRS)

Infant and Child CPR / Fee: $40

Learn to care for breathing and cardiac emergencies with infants and children under the age of 12 years old. Infant and Child CPR and basic precautions for preventing disease transmission. (6 HRS)

Dog First Aid / Fee: $30

Learn to recognize the signals of an emergency in your pet. Learn how to care for choking, bleeding, broken bones, heat and cold related emergencies and how to safely approach, and move, an injured pet. Learn to recognize breathing related emergencies and practice CPR and other skills on a realistic, life-size, pet manikin. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO CLASS. (3 HRS)

CPR for the Professional Rescuer / Fee: $65

The purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer course is to teach those with a duty to act (professional rescuers) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim of cardiac arrest.

Refund and Transfer Policy

If a participant schedules a course and does not attend this limits us from allowing another

participant to attend  the course. Therefore, participants who do not attend their scheduled

classes will forfeit their registration fees.

Course fees are non-refundable. Participants are able to reschedule 3 working days prior to the original

course date.
